Sharjah overlooks the Arabian Gulf and Indian ocean. Its western seaboard is the Arabian Gulf coast, and in the east the Gulf of Oman and Indian Ocean. Geographically it is between longitude 55.2 degrees east and latitude 25.20 degrees north. Coastal, summer temperature could rise to over 45 degrees C. Maximum humidity 80% to 90%, and minimum humidity from 25% to 40%. Climate is dry inland, and temperature low during the night. Climate is moderate during winter ranging from 18 to 25 degrees C. Rainfall does not exceed 5 inches a year, 10-15 days of rainfall, mostly occurring between December and March.The total area of Sharjah is approximately 2590 sq. k.m. Positive regional developments have put the Gulf in the economic spotlight.
